Photo day: Storm Clouds

Storm clouds

After posting last week about the severe drought that we are experiencing in our area, we had a couple of days of significant rain. Not just the kind which wets the garden enough to keep it from dying, but the kind that starts to fill dams. Which was WONDERFUL! Almost overnight our garden started to go really green – and the lawn started to grow. This morning when I looked out, there were heavy rain clouds in the sky. More rain, we hope.

    Holding my thumbs!
The plants in your garden seem to almost invite the clouds closer 🙂

Looks wonderful. And hopeful. Your garden looks beautiful and green and luscious.
I love hearing the expression “holding thumbs” – no-one knows it here! Enjoy the rain.

This is what we call our “little yard”. We’ve got bigger sections at the front and the back that aren’t looking quite as luscious yet. If they start looking pretty (have some nice flowering plants there) I’ll take some more photos.

Not too much rain today yet . . .

And I like the new blog-site design – love the old-fashioned type – great!
