. . . and stayed for some photo-walks? No idea?
As I told you in a previous post, while Willie is away, a friend was going to visit. Some of you might know her as Riekie from Clouded Marbles. Yes, we are friends in “real life” too. Have been for many years – ever since we both worked at the same company in the Eastern Cape. For the last 9-plus months we have been sharing two new hobbies – blogging and photography. We were very jealous when we heard of other WordPress bloggers meeting to go for photo-walks. Finally, we have the opportunity to do so as well. Not only that but we have spent a lot of time talking and laughing. And Rosie has found a new friend – somebody who doesn’t ever seem to tire of playing with her.
Yesterday, we spent some time on one of our local Southern Cape beaches. While Riekie tested her new camera, I borrowed her compact camera to take some snapshots (Willie took “our” camera with him to Mozambique!). Since I had to keep an eye on Rosie, I didn’t take as many photos, but Riekie was snapping away and no doubt you’ll see some of those images on her photoblog. I did get a very nice one of Riekie “in action”, but am not allowed to publish it on “pain of death”! Pity because she looks really good (and professional) hunched over her camera. Weather permitting we will be going on another photo-walk today.
How fun, Lisa!!!!! Sounds like a great outing–how wonderful to spend time with a friend—and Clouded Marbles–cool!
It has been a fun week so far. Hopefully it won’t rain while Riekie is here, so we can get out for more photo walks.
~~~So Sweet to spend some time together on an adventure. 🙂
It is nice for us to be able to do this together.
I want to go on a photo walk with you two when I come to SA!!
Yes! We will have to make that happen then.
I think this is the coolest idea ever, Lisa & Riekie. I love those kinds of photo walks.
It’s different going on a photo walk with somebody who is also taking photos. You don’t feel you have to hurry. We both found it very absorbing and relaxing.
Oh, I can sooo imagine that. Utter bliss. That is my idea of a perfect walk too. 🙂
Hey, I didn’t realize the two of you are friends! Glad you had such a good time together. I like the paw print photo.
Neither of us mentioned our connection before. We were both hesitant to share too much on the Internet. Thanks, the paw photo did work out well.
oh my!! what a guest!! haha
She’s turned out to be quite a useful guest to have around too . . . plays with the dog, makes food etc.
That is a really cool idea…
I know! 🙂
