Caption This . . .

Have you voted for Caption This #7 yet? If not please go here. It’s easy, and fun – and FREE!

The setting: This is a difficult one to caption, but give it a go anyway. I’ve noticed that some of the best captions are submitted for the most difficult photos. This male ostrich was running at full speed and flapping its wings. It looked like it was trying to fly. For those of you who don’t know, ostriches cannot fly.

When you spend time watching animals and birds in the bush, you often see them in amusing situations or poses.  It always makes me wonder what they’re thinking. It’s so easy to ascribe human emotions to them. So I thought I’d give you all a chance to think up captions for some of the funnier photographs we have taken. The winner (picked by the readers) will unfortunately will not be getting a big prize, just have the honour of being named the winner! If you can think of a good one, please leave a comment.

The Rules:

  1. You may only enter one caption. Keep captions under 200 characters long.
  2. Entries for this Caption This close on Wednesday 16 Novemberat 08:00 GMT +02:00.
  3. After the competition closes, I’ll create a poll so that readers can vote for their favourite. You only get to vote once – use it wisely! You can (theoretically) vote for yourself, but please only do so if you are convinced yours is the best caption.
  4. Since, you the reader chooses the winner, anyone may enter (including me and Willie! :-) ). Hey, it’s my blog!

Can you hear it to the tune of “Tiptoe through the tulips”? One look at those dainty feet and it just wrote itself out. Yes, to one question and am not sure I can claim yes to the other. Love these photos you come up with.
